Your day starts with an early morning pickup from your hotel in Arusha. After a scenic 2-hour drive through Maasai villages and rolling countryside, you’ll arrive at Lake Manyara National Park. Upon entering the park, you’ll be greeted by dense groundwater forests filled with troops of baboons, blue monkeys, and lush fig trees.

The safari continues across the open savannah and acacia woodlands, where you’ll spot herds of elephants, zebras, giraffes, and possibly the rare tree-climbing lions lounging on branches. Your guide will lead you towards the shores of Lake Manyara, a shallow soda lake famous for its vibrant flocks of pink flamingos, as well as hippos, pelicans, and other water birds.

After a leisurely picnic lunch at one of the scenic viewpoints overlooking the lake, you’ll continue with an afternoon game drive, soaking in the breathtaking views of the Great Rift Valley escarpment. As the sun begins to set, you’ll depart the park and head back to Arusha, arriving in the early evening.
