The Marangu Route, often called the “Coca-Cola Route”, is the only Kilimanjaro route with hut accommodation instead of tents. It offers a gentler ascent and a direct path to the summit, making it ideal for trekkers seeking a classic experience with more comfort. The 6-day version includes an extra acclimatization day at Horombo Hut, which significantly increases your chance of summit success.

Trek past Last Water Point and cross the saddle between Mawenzi and Kibo. Arrive at Kibo Hut, base camp for summit. Rest early before midnight push.

Start your summit attempt at midnight, reaching Gilman’s Point and Stella Point, then Uhuru Peak. After celebrating, descend to Horombo Hut for rest.

Final descent through rainforest. Receive your summit certificate at Marangu Gate, then return to your hotel for a hot shower and celebration.
