Start/End Point: Moshi Town
08:30 AM – Pick-up from Your Hotel in Moshi
Your guide will meet you in Moshi and drive you to the Materuni village, located about 45 minutes away. Along the way, enjoy scenic views of Mount Kilimanjaro and the surrounding highlands.
09:30 AM – Coffee Tour and Local Experience
Begin your visit with a warm welcome from the Chagga people. You’ll be guided through a coffee farm, learn about the traditional coffee-making process from bean to cup, and even take part in roasting and grinding coffee by hand — all while enjoying lively local songs.
11:00 AM – Hike to Materuni Waterfalls
Embark on a guided hike through tropical vegetation and plantations. The hike is moderate and takes about 45–60 minutes each way. On arrival, you’ll be greeted by the stunning 80-meter-high waterfall cascading into a natural pool.
12:30 PM – Picnic Lunch by the Waterfall
Enjoy a packed lunch near the waterfall. You’ll have time to relax, take photos, and even swim in the refreshing water if you like.
02:00 PM – Begin Return Hike and Drive Back
Hike back to the village and board the vehicle for your return trip to Moshi.
03:30–04:00 PM – Drop-off at Your Hotel in Moshi
You’ll be dropped off at your accommodation, marking the end of your refreshing and cultural day tour.
