Tour Plan
Duration: Half Day (Approx. 3–4 Hours)
Start/End Point: Moshi Town
08:30 AM – Pick-up from Your Hotel in Moshi
After breakfast, your guide will meet you at your hotel and drive you about 15–20 minutes to Rau Forest Reserve.
09:00 AM – Guided Nature Walk in the Forest
Start your walk along shaded forest paths. Your guide will help you identify different plant species, spot birds and butterflies, and observe vervet monkeys and colobus monkeys as they move through the trees.
11:00 AM – Visit the Sacred Tree and Cultural Talk
Stop at one of the oldest and largest fig trees in the area, known to locals for its spiritual and historical importance. Learn about the Chagga people's connection to the forest.
12:00 PM – Return to Moshi
After the tour, drive back to Moshi for drop-off at your hotel. This peaceful and educational experience ends with a greater appreciation for local nature and culture.
